Free Trade is the Best Farm Subsidy

As these guys point out.  The point they really need to make though is that, over the long term, exports equal imports.  All that is necessary is to cut import tariffs on our end, and exporters will benefits.  It does not depend on other countries reducing their tariffs as well.

Imports mean that we get things in exchange for dollars.  Those dollars only use is to buy things, at some point, from Americans.  By giving Americans the ability to buy things from abroad, we give foreigners the ability to buy things from Americans.  And one of the things that foreigners usually want to buy from us is food.
